Strength training alongside Runna.
Runna plans your runs. Build the Foundations is the strength to go with them: two sessions a week, twelve weeks, written and filmed by a chartered physiotherapist who runs. It does not touch your running days.
How the week fits together
Keep your planned runs where they are. Put the two strength sessions on easy days or after a short run, with a day between them. Each session tells you the exercises, the sets, the reps and the effort, and every movement has Tash's video.
A gym version and a home version of the same plan. The home one needs dumbbells or a kettlebell, a band, a chair, a step and a mat.
Try it before anything
Session one is free, no card and no sign-up. So is one Pilates class, if your legs want something gentler on a rest day.
Questions runners ask
Can I do Runfix strength sessions alongside my running app's plan?
Yes. Build the Foundations is two strength sessions a week, written for runners by a chartered physiotherapist, and it does not touch your running days. Most people put them on easy days or after a short run.
How long is a session?
Every session lists its exercises, sets, reps and effort, with Tash's own video of each movement. Open a session and the plan tells you what to do; you are not building a workout yourself.
Do I need a gym?
No. There is a gym version and a home version of the same twelve-week plan. The home plan needs dumbbells or a kettlebell, a band, a chair, a step and a mat.
Is there a free session?
Session one of the plan is free, and one Pilates class is free, with no card and no sign-up. The plans and the weekly Pilates classes are then £9.99 a month each, cancel any time.
Is Runfix connected to any running app?
No. Runfix is Tash Gale's strength and Pilates programme for runners. It works alongside whatever plans your runs, and it is not affiliated with any of them.
Runna, Garmin and Nike Run Club are trademarks of their owners. Runfix is not affiliated with any of them; this page is for runners who use one and want strength work written by a physio.
